Centennial Defense Systems recoil springs are wound from flat wire, so they are a direct replacement for your factory S&W springs. Manufactured from certified Aerospace specification materials. All springs are heat treated, shot peened and stress relieved for maximum durability. Our springs are designed for CDS guide rods but may work with other brands.
RECOIL SPRING WEIGHT USAGE
11-13lb Springs are mostly used for competition shooting, or if using a suppressor.
Note: Lighter weight recoil springs have a faster recoil time and allows for quicker follow up shots, however may lead to cycling issues depending on ammo
14-16lb Recoil springs are for reduced power ammunition loads
17-18lb Recoil springs are factory weight recoil springs
19-24lb Recoil springs are for heavy loads and +p or +p+
